Lau Chavolla — Makeup Artist

About Lau

My story didn't start in beauty.

It started with systems, logic and structure — and became a story about people, connection and the art of helping a woman see herself.

Mexico → Toronto → Beauty

Two cultures. One reinvention.

I am Mexican — proudly shaped by two cultures — and Toronto has been home since 2007. That mix of warmth and discipline, of colour and restraint, lives in everything I do.

My professional journey began far from a makeup chair, in systems engineering. It taught me precision, structure and how things work. But over time I discovered where I truly come alive: creating, connecting and working with people.

Makeup became the medium. The woman in the chair became the reason.

The way I see beauty

I don't believe in transforming a woman into someone she is not.

My role is not to change a face — it is to help a woman recognize and enhance what already makes her unique. Beauty, to me, is not correction. It is revelation.

When the mirror shows you more of yourself — not less — that is when makeup has done its job.

The heart of it

Makeup is my art, but connection is my purpose.

The woman behind the experience

Seen. Heard. Reconnected.

I want every woman who sits in my chair to leave not only made up, but seen, heard and reconnected with herself.

Beauty is expression. Style is an extension of personality. Image is a tool to communicate who we are — with confidence and authenticity.

Beauty is not about perfection. It is about highlighting the essence.
